In which new projects are revealed

Cannes France May 2026 & Paris France October 2026

This must be the most quintessential place to go as a fashion designer, AND for this to be where I am debuting my FIRST collection?!?!

Anyways, I am getting a little ahead of myself in this story.

In November 2025, a French based Instagram account DM’ed me. I was FLABBERGASTED. At the time, I had 204 followers on my account. I never would have expected an opportunity, like this, to literally fall in my lap. In some ways, I believe that I owe Sabrina Carpenter a bit of thanks. The video that was liked but the company that I am now working with was one where I was dancing to “House Tour” and showing off my booth at Canton, TX.

I started talking to the French account and asked for more information. They sent me a portal to set up a meeting date and time with them. It was slightly comforting that their meeting times were all in the EARLY hours of the morning, well at least for Texas Central Time. The hours that they sent were during Paris business hours. I picked out a meeting time and set almost twelve different alarms to make sure that I didn’t sleep through this opportunity!

I remember so vividly that I didn’t sleep well that night, but who could?!? I woke with a start at 3:15 convinced that I had slept through my alarms, just to have one buzz in my face a few minutes later. I stayed awake for the next 45 minutes, doing more background on the company and pulling up receipts, hoping against hope that everything would check out. Finally the call rang, and I cleared my voice a few times before answering, just to make sure it didn’t sound like I had just woken up.

The individuals on the phone were remarkably interesting to talk with. I spoke with the founder of the company, and one of the managers who helps organize the fashion show translated everything for me. They gave me all the information that I asked for, and afterwards immediately emailed me with the information I had asked. I spent the rest of the day going through their instagram account and looking at everyone that they tagged in their posts, and then I went through the list of the people that they had worked with previously in the last fashion show they had hosted.

Overall, they past the “is this a scam” test with flying colors. I love the joke in relationships that every girl is an FBI agent, cause with a few simple google searches, I had found almost all of their source documents and foundational certificates to solidify that this company is who they say they are.

So, at this point, we are less than 120 days away (118 as of writing this post) and I have pages and pages of ideas and designs set up and planned and written.

My next step is action. I have decided on my initial 8 designs for Cannes in May, and now I am going to complete those designs this weekend, send the first off to the print shop for my print club, and start patterning out each aspect of my looks.

I believe this journey will be a testament to my will and dedication as a fashion designer, because whose first fashion show is at the same time as the Cannes Film Festival… and then a show during Paris Fashion Week 5 months later?! Am I crazy, or just delusional… Only time will tell!

Au Revoir!
