Hi! I’m Caly, a budding fashion designer, debut author, and connoisseur of all things craft-related.

Calysta’s Curios was conceptualized in 2017 when I decided to make and sell handmade frilly knitted scarves at a local YMCA craft fair. After High School, I left home and started working on Dude Ranches. I traveled the country and rode horses in Montana and Arizona. Eventually, I made my way back home to Texas to attend college. Even after a gap year, I still had no idea what I wanted to do! I started fashion classes at a local college and during my second semester started, I decided to put my knowledge and skills to the test and made my idea a reality and created Calysta’s Curios and Clothier in March of 2025!

I’ve always been in love with creating things, and have dabbled in welding and soldering for jewelry making, weaving, knitting, forging, and – of course - sewing! In high school, I let my creativity soar as the lead costumer for over 17 of my school’s productions!

In addition to the physical manifestations of my creativity, I self-published two books with KDP. In 2023 The Teenage Gothic was born a poetry collection that stemmed from an English class on gothic literature. And, in 2024, Go West Young Woman, was released. It tells the tale of my gap year of exploring two dude ranches on separate ends of the United States.

In 2026, I am working on my Debut Novel, Oxidized Copper, a historical fiction novel about eight women from the years 1885 to 1940. In conjunction to this, I also am presenting a fashion collection of eight looks that correspond with each chapter of my book.
